Many people say true love doesn't exist but true love is like love birds, when they find each other they would know and to lose one would destroy the other. To Michael and Shawn they have found true love. Years before they met Shawn got a deadly disease that one day would kill him, he got HIV. Days before they actually met Shawn told Michael he had HIV and all Michael could say was, "I don't care, sometimes you have to take a chance." Shawn smiled and he set up a date with Michael. When they met Michael looked in Shawn's eyes and knew he was the one for him.

     Michael and Shawn went out on more dates, on when of the dates Shawn told Michael, "You are amazing Michael, will you be my boyfriend?" Michael replied back with a smile on his face, "Yes I will." A couple months passed and after talking about moving in together Michael finally moved in with Shawn. They were madly in love, Shawn went back to school to get his bachelors degree in Psychology while Michael focused on his modeling career. Shawn was always scared that if Michael became successful in modeling that he would leave him. Michael always re assured Shawn that no matter what happens he will always love him and stand by him.

     Months passed and Michael finally got a big break, he went flying out to Ireland for a photo shot. After that Michael became a big hit among the industry and every night he was away he would call Shawn to make sure he was doing ok. They would spend hours on the phone. When ever Michael would get back from a photo shot he would always take Shawn out to eat and to the movies. Michael would always make sure he was there for Shawn's doctor's appointments.

     The times were getting rough for Shawn, he was slowly dying everyday. Michael got a call for a photo shot in New York so he talked it over with Shawn and Shawn told him, "Don't worry about me my baby I'll be fine just go to the photo shot." That night he left with a bad feeling. When he got to New York he stopped by a store and bought something special for Shawn and said, "He'll love it." After being out there for three days Michael was worried because he couldn't get a hold of Shawn. 

     Michael called Shawn's best friend to check up on Shawn. She called back and told Michael that Shawn was in the hospital and he was in critical condition. Michael found out what hospital he was in, packed his stuff and left for the airport. The next day he landed in California, he caught a taxi and rushed to the hospital. It took a couple hours to get there and along the way Michael was praying for Shawn to be ok.

     Ten minutes before he got to the hospital he prayed one more time saying, "Dear God, please keep my baby safe. If you do I will never leave his side again." He got to the hospital, ran inside and found out where Shawn was. He went running to the room, he saw Shawn's friend standing outside the room crying, he stopped and fell to the ground. Shawn's friend saw Michael and brought him to the room. When Michael went in Shawn's friend told him, "He passed away six minutes ago, I am sorry Michael."

     Michael dropped again and cried his heart out. He was so sad that he couldn't speak, it was like the life was drained out of him. A month passed and it was time for Shawn's funeral. At the funeral Michael went to the front and said, "When one love bird dies the other one starts to slowly die." After the funeral was over Michael went home and lay on the bed with his gift to Shawn in his hand. After days passed Michael completely gave up and as he slowly died in the bed he opened his hand and said, "I love you Shawn," as a wedding ring fell out onto the floor.
